Starting Up in Queenstown

Towards the end of 2017, I had an epiphany!.. After moving to the beautiful Queenstown in this amazing country, could I once again work for myself in the industry I love in this new wonderful place I now live?.

Having been in the Plumbing, Gas and Heating industry since 2003 I have learnt vasts amount of knowledge and gained heaps of experience in the industry. I first started my own business back in 2008 where I was a Gas Safe Registered Central Heating company in Wales, United Kingdom. I got to travel all over the UK to work and was able meet lots of people from different places and cultures.

As my 30th Birthday was getting ever closer, I was wanting a new challenge and experience. After running the business for 6 years I was getting itchy feet. A good friend of mine was living at the time in Christchurch, New Zealand. We were always in contact and after the devastating earthquake happened in 2011 we spoke at least once a week up until July 2013. That was when I decided my next chapter was to move to New Zealand, and for the first 2 years of being in Christchurch I worked on the EQC repair work ensuring that people always had their Plumbing systems in working order and in alot of cases completely re-piping their homes as were beyond repair.

Within the second year of being in New Zealand I knew that this is where I wanted to stay, so I started the process to get my residency and 3 years later I am still in awe of the place where I now call home.

Alpine Central Heating Limited are now able to bring UK, European and NZ central heating knowledge into the community of Queenstown and Lakes District at a time where the new homes market is at an all time high for the area. We want to pass on our knowledge to customers and other trades alike.
